What is free and what is paid?

Free: the 400+ public audio guides on the web and in the app, Ask Mappu's day-by-day trip sketches, the first 2 stories of your first Walk Mode walk, in the app at the walk (with a free account), planning with ChatGPT or Claude through the Mappu connector, and editing, exporting and sharing your itinerary by hand. Paid with credits: generating a full itinerary, guides for other places (standard or personalized), Walk Mode after the free stories and itinerary edits marked with the 🪄 icon.

How does payment work?

Payments go through the platform you use: in-app purchase through the App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android and Stripe on the web.

Is there a subscription to cancel?

No subscription, zero surprise charges. The packs are top-ups. If you stop traveling or no longer need Mappu, you simply do not buy anything.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Just top up with a new pack. Credits are added to your balance instantly as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Do manual edits cost credits?

Absolutely not, you can edit your trip by hand as many times as you want. If the change involves a new map search for a specific location, there is a daily limit of 30 free actions.

How does support work?

Our support is the same for everyone and is always available, whether you have purchased credits or are using the app for free.
